Pahalgam Terror Attack: At least 26 civilians killed in attack; PM Modi holds meet
Digital Desk: In the biggest terror attack to hit Jammu and Kashmir in recent history, terrorists opened fire on tourists in Pahalgam yesterday, killing 26 and wounding numerous more. The incident also claimed the lives of an Intelligence Bureau officer and a Navy officer.
Since the location is only reachable on foot or horseback, military helicopters were called into action to evacuate those hurt in the attack. Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police Nalin Prabhat briefed Union Home Minister Amit Shah upon his arrival in Srinagar last evening.
I strongly condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured recover at the earliest. All possible assistance is being provided to those affected.
