Pakistan violates LoC ceasefire for 4th consecutive day

Digital Desk: The Pakistan Army's ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir continued for the fourth consecutive day. On April 27-28, multiple Pakistan Army posts carried out unprovoked small arms firing across the LoC, prompting a swift response from Indian troops. No casualties have been reported.

The recent surge in tensions between India and Pakistan follows the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam's Baisaran meadow, which killed 26 innocent civilians, including 25 tourists and a local. The attack was carried out by LeT terrorists, allegedly sponsored and aided by Pakistan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the attack, vowing to hunt down the terrorists, their handlers, and backers. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha held a security review meeting with Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, directing the Army to use all necessary force to apprehend the perpetrators.

Security forces have been taking action against terrorists, including demolishing their houses to send a strong message. On Friday, two houses belonging to Adil Hussain Thokar and Asif Sheikh, both involved in the Pahalgam killings, were demolished in Tral and Bijbehara areas.
