Participants of 'Jhumoir Binondini' to receive Rs 25,000 each, announces Assam CM Sarma

 

Digital Desk: On Saturday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that each participant in the next 'Jhumoir Binondini' cultural event would earn Rs 25,000, while specialists would receive Rs 30,000.

CM Sarma made the news today while attending a practice session for the spectacular event at Guwahati's Sarusajai Stadium.

In addition, Chief Minister Sarma said that cultural centers will be created in 800 tea gardens across the state, with each garden receiving Rs 25,000 for the program.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister stated that participants must perform in traditional garb tomorrow evening. He further stated that Guwahati people will be able to see the exciting performances for free at Sarusajai tomorrow.

"The 'Jhumoir Binondini' event will begin at 5:30 PM on February 24, in keeping with the 200-year history of Assam's tea industry and the 'Advantage Assam' program. Assam will once again establish a record," CM Sarma stated.

It should be noted that over 8,000 performers will participate in the cultural spectacular. The big event will have 5,399 female dancers, 2,175 male dancers, and 2,074 musicians performing together.

The Mega Jhumoir event commemorates 200 years of the tea business as well as 200 years of industrialization in Assam.
