Polling Underway For Bihar Assembly Elections’s First Phase
Digital Desk: With over 3.75 crore voters scheduled to cast ballots in 121 of the state's 243 constituencies, the first round of the Bihar Assembly elections began early on Thursday.
This phase applies to ten of the twenty seats that CPI (ML) is running for, six of which they now hold.
Ten of the 29 seats that the Lok Janshakti Party (Ramvilas) ran for in the NDA are in the first round.
Only one of these 10 seats is held by the NDA.
Through live feeds from every polling place, where CCTVs have been deployed for the first time, the Election Commission is keeping a tight eye on Bihar's elections.
At the EC control room at Nirvachan Sadan stationed are Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar as well as Election Commissioners S S Sandhu and Vivek Joshi.
121 seats are covered in the first phase on Thursday, while the second phase is set for November 11.
On November 14, the 2025 Bihar Assembly election results will be announced.
