Prof. Chandan Goswami takes over as registrar at Tezpur University
Digital Desk: Tezpur University has officially assigned Prof. Chandan Goswami of the Department of Business Administration to the same role as Hridoy Saikia, Joint Registrar, who was appointed Registrar In-Charge after Prof. Pritam Deb resigned.
The directive, which was issued on October 15, 2025, under the direction of Vice-Chancellor i/c Prof. Shambhunath Singh, gives Prof. Goswami the responsibility and duties of the Registrar In-Charge effective immediately and indefinitely.
Earlier, to maintain continuity in administrative duties, Hridoy Saikia was transferred from the Controller of Examinations' office and temporarily occupied the role a day before Prof. Pritam Deb was assigned the role to take over as the new in charge.
The university's attempts to ensure seamless governance during changes at the Registrar's office are reflected in the appointments.
