Rahul Gandhi to visit Assam today and pay tribute to Zubeen Garg

Digital Desk: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi is all set to visit Guwahati today.

Rahul is reportedly scheduled to reach Guwahati by 1 PM on October 17 and will first travel to Sonapur to pay his respects at beloved artist Zubeen Garg's Samadhi Khetra.

Following this, he will visit the bereaved family at Kahilipara before returning to Delhi.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma commented on the Congress MP’s visit, saying, Better late than never.

He went on to say that the Congress leader's visit came 28 days after the singer died, and that while many people had come earlier to condole Zubeen Garg's death, Rahul Gandhi is now visiting.
