Relentless rainfall causes devastation in Arunachal

Digital Desk: Several parts of Arunachal Pradesh are facing severe devastation as relentless rainfall over the past few days has triggered widespread flooding, particularly at Daporijo under Upper Subansiri district.

The Sigin River, swollen by continuous downpours, has breached its banks, inundating homes and causing significant destruction.

Local reports confirm that floodwaters have surged into residential areas, submerging houses and damaging properties.

The mountainous terrain of the state has further intensified the crisis, as fast-flowing rivers and overflowing streams pose serious threats across multiple districts.

Authorities have placed several regions on high alert, urging residents in low-lying and vulnerable areas to remain cautious.
