Digital Desk: In connection with the suspicious death of singer Zubeen Garg, the Crime Investigation Department (CID) of the Assam Police has made additional arrests.
There have now been four arrests, including those of co-singer Amritprava Mahanta and co-musician Shekhar Jyoti Goswami on Thursday. This comes after days of intensive questioning by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).
The latest development in the death case of Zubeen Garg has emerged after Shekhar and Amritprava were arrested by the CID, and the crime department has taken them to court as they will be presented before the CJM court today.
These arrests were verified by Munna Prasad Gupta, the Special DGP of CID and head of the SIT. He claimed that after being questioned by the SIT/CID for several days, Goswami and Mahanta were both captured on Thursday night. As part of the ongoing investigation, their involvement in the incident is being examined.
