Shyamkanu Mahanta and Siddharth Sharma to be shifted to Baksa district jail

 

Digital Desk: In a crucial update on the tragic death of beloved artist Zubeen Garg, Northeast India Chief Organizer Shyamkanu Mahanta, along with Siddharth Sharma, who is the manager of the late cultural icon Zubeen Garg, are to be shifted to the Baksa District Jail.

The Duo is currently being taken to the Baksa District Jail by law enforcement in Assam.

It has been further learned that all five accused who were earlier in the day produced before the CJM court are being shifted to the Baksa District Jail.

Shyamkanu Mahanta, along with Siddharth Sharma, was produced before the CJM court earlier in the day today.

Both Shyamkanu Mahanta and Siddharth Sharma are being probed by the ED on grounds and charges of further probing into misappropriation of funds and separate cases of embezzlement related to the State Authority in Assam and entailing the late idol Zubeen Garg.

Furthermore, Assamese expatriates from Singapore, Sushmita Goswami, Divyajyoti Hazarika, and Pritam Bhuyan, will appear before the CID today at their office in Guwahati.

In further development of the high-profile case, remand will be sought for Abhimanyu Talukdar and Tanmay Phukan.
