Singer Nilotpal Bora shares apology post after being accused of threatening journalist
Digital Desk:In a recent social media post, Nilotpal Bora expressed regret for a widely reported incident in which he allegedly threatened a journalist who was on duty on Sunday when Zubeen's mortal remains arrived at his Kahilipara residence.
In the presence of an impacted group of Zubeen Garg's fans, Bora was seen on camera warning a journalist, saying, "Camera bhangi dim" (I will break the camera).
Following the unruly behaviour of the singer, the Journalist Association filed a formal complaint against him as a result of the outrage the comment caused in the media.
On 21st September, Nilotpal shared an apology post in Assamese, which in English meant, “a feud occurred at Zubeen Garg’s residence, where I reportedly lost my cool and verbally abused two cameramen. I deeply regret this unfortunate incident. Wishing everyone well, and urging all to support justice for Zubeen Da."
In relation to the matter, he was called to the police station on Thursday & Friday (2nd & 3rd October).
