Supreme Court's order on Rohingya children's admission to schools: No educational bias

Digital Desk: In a major development, around 40,000 Rohingya refugees who fled persecution in their home country and returned to India will be able to attend schools with other Indian children.

The Supreme Court has ordered, in response to a petition, that no kid will face educational discrimination. The bench of Justices Suryakant and N. Koteshwar Singh inquired about the Rohingyas' whereabouts and the homes in which they resided and requested their contact information.

Following the Supreme Court's observations, it is believed that Rohingya refugee children will have equal access to education and other facilities in government schools. However, the Supreme Court's final verdict in this dispute is still anticipated.

Furthermore, following the Supreme Court's pronouncement, Rohingya refugees in Delhi remain hopeful that if the ruling is upheld, it will assist them and their children's futures by allowing them to attend government schools.

The NGO 'Rohingya Human Rights Initiative' petitioned the Supreme Court, demanding that refugees be given access to education in government schools, free healthcare in all government hospitals, and other government advantages such as subsidized rationing.
