Two lakh diyas to be lighted on October 18, 19 at Delhi's Kartavya Path


Digital Desk: On October 18 and 19, the BJP government in Delhi will light the Kartavya Path with two lakh clay diyas as part of their Diwali celebrations, which will include a Ramayana-themed laser and drone show.

Officials said the ceremonies will be similar to those held in Ayodhya.

"On October 18, two lakh diyas will be lit along the Kartavya Path, followed by the same number the next day. To commemorate the event, a Ramayana-themed laser and drone show will be conducted, according to an official.

Rekha Gupta, the Chief Minister of Delhi, will attend the event, along with her cabinet colleagues and MLAs. BJP MPs are also likely to attend the event.

The Delhi government has also issued special directives to all ministries to maintain the city's cleanliness, safety, and brightness during the Diwali celebrations.

All department heads and municipal authorities have received detailed directives, allowing citizens to enjoy smooth traffic, a clean environment, and a joyful ambiance.

Rajeev Verma, the Chief Secretary of Delhi, urged authorities to make all necessary arrangements.
