Digital Desk: The Sarusajai Sports Complex in Guwahati is abuzz with excitement as the inaugural Under-23 National Basketball Championship gets underway.
The tournament, jointly hosted by the Assam Basketball Association and the Basketball Federation of India, features 30 men's teams and 25 women's teams from around 30 states, all vying for the top honors.
The championship was officially inaugurated on Monday evening with a grand cultural performance, attended by dignitaries including Minister Pijush Hazarika, Minister Nandita Garlosa, Chief Patron Riniki Bhuyan Sharma, and Assam Basketball Association President Pallab Lochan Das.
The tournament, scheduled to run from March 17 to March 24, will culminate in a closing ceremony at the Sarusajai Indoor Stadium on March 24.
