Uttarakhand Avalanche: CM Pushkar Singh Dhami visits injured, rescue efforts underway

Digital Desk: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met with the injured BRO workers who were rescued from the Mana Avalanche site. The workers are currently receiving treatment at the Army Hospital in Joshimath.

The avalanche, which occurred in the high-altitude village of Mana in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district, trapped a total of 55 BRO workers. Thankfully, 47 of them have been rescued, but concerns remain for the safety of the 8 workers still trapped.

The Chief Minister's visit to the injured workers demonstrates his commitment to ensuring their well-being and providing support during this challenging time. The rescue efforts are ongoing, and the authorities are working tirelessly to locate the remaining trapped workers.

On February 28, a glacier burst in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district caused an avalanche near Mana, trapping 57 workers. According to reports, the trapped workers were under contract with the Border Roads Organisation (BRO).
