Weather Report: IMD predicts thunderstorms and Rainfall in Assam along with 7 other states
Digital Desk: As per IMD Guwahati prediction, ASDMA (Assam State Disaster Management Authority) announces a major possibility of isolated thunderstorms with lightning and mild to moderate rain in the next three hours across Darrang, Kamrup Metro, Morigaon, Nagaon, Tamulpur, and Udalguri.
Earlier this morning, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) released its Impact Based Weather Warning Bulletin for the whole country.
Along with the warning areas like Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Balistan, Muzaffarabad, Uttarakhand, and Madhya Pradesh are likely to see thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds, the forecast also predicts significant rains in Assam, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala until April 12. West Bengal, Rajasthan, Bihar, Telangana, Sikkim, and coastal Andhra Pradesh were also included in the list.
With the possibility of light rain in Bengaluru until April 12, IMD has issued rainfall warnings for areas of Assam, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Uttarakhand, and Madhya Pradesh. Northern Indian states will experience strong winds of 40–50 kmph.
