Woman assaulted by husband in Meghalaya

Digital Desk: A woman was injured after being assaulted by her husband, Petrus, who is supposedly approximately 40 years old.

The woman, who is presently being treated at Civil Hospital in Shillong, told a reporter that her husband routinely threatens to kill her and their young child, as well as assaulting her brutally.

Following the incident, the victim's mother filed a FIR with the Mawngap Police Station, asking police protection for her daughter to prevent future damage.
