Digital Desk: Major tide turn in Zubeen Garg death case, Shekhar Jyoti Goswami, a musician who was on the contentious yacht trip connected to the incident, has been arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) looking into the tragic death of legendary Assamese singer Zubeen Garg.
Although authorities have not yet revealed the specifics of the accusations against Goswami or whether formal charges will be brought against him, he has been placed under arrest for interrogation.
The investigation is moving forward with several leads, according to sources, as investigators try to piece together the sequence of events that resulted in Garg's unexpected death.
Moreover, SIT has also made a probe into Shyamkanu Mahanta. According to reports, he has contacted the CID while in the airport lounge, indicating his willingness to turn himself in. Officials also hint that his arrest is likely to take place soon.
