Zubeen Garg Death probe: CJM orders Shekhar Goswami, Amritprava Mahanta 14-Day Police Custody
Digital Desk: In a recent turn of events unfolding and in connection with the death of Zubeen Garg, musicians Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and Amritprabha Mahanta have been placed under 14 days of police custody.
Following six days of intense questioning into the renowned singer's death by the Special Investigation Team (SIT), it’s mentioned that both were in Singapore. After the probe, the two were taken into custody by Assam Police on Thursday.
Furthermore, the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) today had also sent Shyamkanu Mahanta and Siddharth Sharma to 14-day police custody for detailed interrogation. Shortly after his return, Shyamkanu, the organizer of the Northeast Festival (NEF), where Garg was scheduled to perform, was taken into custody at Delhi Airport.
Since the singer's passing, Siddharth Sharma, Zubeen Garg's manager, had been evading capture until being caught in Gurgaon. Moreover, with Amritprava and Sekhar in custody, four arrests have been made till now in the legendary singer Zubeen’s death.
