Zubeen Garg's ashes will be taken to Jorhat today by Garima Saikia and Family members
Digital Desk: Zubeen Garg, a beloved musical icon from Assam, passed away on 19th September in Singapore. Assam mourned his death, his ashes after being kept in Kahilapara residence will now be transported to Jorhat on Tuesday. Garima Saikia Garg, Zubeen's wife, and other family members are reportedly headed to Jorhat this evening.
In order to ensure a smooth process and transport the ashes, the Assam government has made all the required preparations.
Conversely, under the district administration's supervision, the coffin containing Zubeen's mortal remains from Singapore was removed from his Kahilipara residence and transported to Jorhat along with other possessions.
While Jorhat gets ready to receive the renowned artist's ashes, the change is being planned with complete state assistance and security.
