'Will spare no one' says Himanta Biswa Sarma to those who support Pakistan on Assam's land
Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma issued a severe warning, stressing that no one who supports Pakistan, powerful or not, will be spared in the state.
In an aggressive statement published on social media, Sarma stated, "Listen carefully with open ears; if anyone living in Assam engages in Pakistan's broking, we will not spare them!".
Assam will take the strongest possible action against anyone who dares to defend—directly or indirectly—the horrific, Pakistan-sponsored terror attack in Pahalgam. He also stated his wish for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take severe action against Pakistani sympathizers in India, adding, "I've noticed on social media that certain individuals here favour Pakistan. Let me be quite clear: I would not spare anyone who supports Pakistan from Assam's soil. We will not spare those moles, no matter who they are or how strong they are."
The Assam government will provide families of the deceased with an ex-gratia of ₹5 lakh in solidarity with the victims of the Pahalgam terrorist attack.

The CM's words came in answer to growing worries about pro-Pakistan attitudes among certain individuals, with Sarma emphasizing the state's resolute opposition to any such support.
Additionally, Assam Police have detained Aminul Islam, an AIUDF MLA from Dhing, after he made controversial communal remarks attributing the recent Pahalgam terror attack and the 2018 Pulwama attack to the BJP leadership.
Previously, Chief Minister Sarma had chastised Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi for a controversial travel to Pakistan and claimed ties to the Pakistani establishment. However, Sarma promised to investigate Gogoi's visit and his connections, heightening political tensions in Assam.
