Amritsar Blast: Suspected Babbar Khalsa terrorist killed, probe underway

Digital Desk: A suspected terrorist was killed in a huge explosion on the Majitha Road Bypass in Amritsar, Punjab, according to officials. The explosion occurred on Tuesday morning, at about 9.30 a.m.

According to local media sources, the man's arms were severed in the explosion. Initially viewed as a case of mishandling hazardous material, officials are now looking into a terrorist connection.

Local residents, shocked by the loud explosion, raced to the area and promptly called the police. Authorities responded quickly and opened an investigation.

Police initially dismissed the man's involvement as a scrap merchant, believing he was disassembling an old bomb found in metal garbage. However, the man was injured and taken to the hospital, and a government spokesperson confirmed that the man was a suspected terrorist.
