Assam: Kaziranga National Park & Tiger Reserve ranked 3rd on list of India's most visited national parks
Digital Desk: Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve has emerged as India's third most visited national park. From October 1, 2024 to May 18, 2025, the park received a record 4,43,636 visitors, representing a 35% increase over the previous season.
Environment and Assam Forest Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary took this great news to X post, praising Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma's leadership, " Under the dynamic leadership of HCM Dr. @himantabiswa, conservation in Assam has gained remarkable momentum. His visionary thinking, bold initiatives, and strong emphasis on environmental sustainability have revitalized wildlife tourism and reaffirmed Assam’s position on the global conservation map."

Foreign tourism also increased by 25%, with 18,463 international visitors experiencing the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The park closed for the season on May 19 due to the arrival of monsoons.
