Assam HSLC 2025: Show cause notices issued to five schools over poor Class X results
Digital Desk: The Assam government has issued show cause letters to five high schools in Kamrup Metropolitan District after their pass percent in the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2025 dropped below 25%.
Dipika Choudhury, Inspector of Schools for Kamrup (M) District, issued the notice, labeling poor performance as a "serious matter of concern" and citing issues in school administration and supervision.
The Schools receiving notice include- Barsojai High School, Maligaon High School, NPME High School, Pilingkata High School, and Dispur Government Higher Secondary School.
A notice has been issued to school heads indicating lapses in administration and supervision, the heads have been asked to respond within five days, failing which disciplinary action may be initiated.
The move comes amid concerns over the academic environment and management of underperforming schools, particularly during the state government's push for education reforms.
